Bridging Devotion: Bhojpur's Tulsi Offering and Bengaluru's Artistry Enrich the Grandeur of Ram Mandir's Consecration

In the heart of Ayodhya, the majestic Ram Mandir is nearing completion, and the consecration ceremony for Lord Rama, the Ramlala Pran Pratishtha, is scheduled for January 22, 2024. Commencing on Tuesday, the rituals leading up to the divine presence of Lord Rama within his sanctum sanctorum will continue until January 21. Adding a sacred touch to the proceedings, fresh Tulsi beads crafted from silk threads in the Bhojpur district of Bihar are being sent to Ayodhya for the ceremony.

According to reports, these Tulsi beads are cultivated in a one-acre field in Pandura of the Sandesh block in the Bhojpur district. It is reported that nine sets of Tulsi bead necklaces have been prepared and dispatched, each weighing approximately one kilogram. The Tulsi leaves from this cultivation site will also contribute to the holy prasad prepared for the ceremony. Consequently, the presence of Bhojpur will be felt in the consecration ceremony of the Sri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22.

Noteworthy is the involvement of artisans from Bengaluru, who have arrived to create garlands using the shoots and leaves of the Tulsi plant. Their craftsmanship adds a unique touch to the sacred adornments contributing to the grandeur of the ceremony.
