New Proctorial Board Formed at BHU with Changes in Team Composition

Varanasi, often referred to as the spiritual capital of India, is abuzz with the recent developments at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). The prestigious institution has announced the formation of a new Proctorial Board, signaling a shift in leadership and strategy to uphold discipline and maintain the welfare of its diverse student body.

Prof. Lalita Vatta, representing the Science Institute, has been succeeded by Deputy Chief Proctor, Dr. Nirmala Horo, a distinguished faculty member from the Agricultural Science Institute. Similarly, the position held by Dr. VK Paswan, also from the Agricultural Science Institute, has been assumed by Dr. RS Meena, bringing a fresh perspective to the board's agricultural domain.

Furthermore, from the Education Department, Dr. Lalita Prasad has passed on the baton to Dr. Pankaj Singh, while Prof. Gayatri Rai's role has been succeeded by Dr. Poonam Singh, representing the Science Institute. The Trauma Center sees a transition as well, with Dr. Achyut Pandey being replaced by Dr. Birju Manjhi, a move aimed at ensuring seamless management of medical-related concerns within the university.

Expanding the board's diversity and expertise, Dr. Shreshth Yadav from the Social Science Department and Dr. Sarita Rani from the Women's College have been welcomed into the Proctorial Board team.
