Anurag Singh, Varanasi: The high-speed rail, commonly known as the bullet train, is set to commence operations on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route by 2026. Additionally, significant progress has been made on the Varanasi to Hawada via Patna high-speed rail corridor project, with the completion of the survey in the district.

National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL): Leading the charge in high-speed rail development, NHSRCL is diligently working on launching the Delhi-Hawada bullet train service. The first phase of this ambitious project will focus on constructing the Varanasi to Hawada corridor, followed by the Delhi to Varanasi via Lucknow route in the subsequent phase. The proposed high-speed rail project spans approximately 760 kilometers in its initial phase.

Connecting Villages, Empowering Communities

The survey for the high-speed rail project has encompassed numerous villages in the Chiraigaon development block of Varanasi district. Villages including Narayanpur, Ukathi, Siristi, Amouli, Ramala, Chitauni, Bakaini, Devariya, Dharadhar, and more have had their lands surveyed and earmarked for the project. Furthermore, a comprehensive list of affected farmers has been compiled, ensuring transparency and inclusivity in the project implementation process.
