Experience the Sacred Rituals at Baba Vishwanath Temple

Are you ready to immerse yourself in the divine atmosphere of Baba Vishwanath Temple? From the crack of dawn at 4:00 AM until 4:30 AM, witness the enchanting Mangala Aarti performed in front of the resplendent Rajat Murthy of Baba Vishwanath. Let the soothing chants resonate through your soul as Brahmins recite verses from the four Vedas during the milk ablution ceremony, held from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

At 8:15 AM, indulge Baba with offerings of fruits, symbolizing purity and devotion. Following this, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, five Vedic Brahmins perform the sacred Rudrabhishek, invoking the blessings of Lord Shiva with various fruit juices.

Afternoon rituals commence with a ceremonial bath for Baba at 11:45 AM, followed by midday offerings, prayers, and another Aarti. As the sun reaches its zenith, experience the melodious rendition of auspicious hymns by the women devotees.

From 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, the sanctum doors close for adornment rituals, where Baba is adorned as the groom, bedecked in gold chains and ornaments. Witness the seven symbolic Tilaks placed upon Baba's forehead, representing the seven sages.

As evening descends, immerse yourself in the grand Tilak ceremony led by the Jalani family at 7:00 PM. Amidst the melodious tunes of shehnai and the rhythmic beats of drums, embark on a procession celebrating the Tilak festival. Participate in this grand spectacle, as each of the seven plates carries offerings fit for a deity, including garments, gold chains, and silver coconuts.

Embracing tradition, a set of watches and pens for the groom are also elegantly displayed, symbolizing prosperity and auspicious beginnings.

Join the procession as it winds its way through the bustling streets of Teerdhiniem, culminating at the residence of the head priest. Here, amidst the fervent cheers of the locals, witness the completion of the Tilak ceremony, as blessings are bestowed upon the groom by the bride's family.
