According to the temple administration, this figure surpasses even the footfall during the auspicious month of Sawan.
Chief Executive Officer Vishwabhushan Mishra disclosed that March 2024 welcomed a staggering 95.63 lakh devotees. This surpasses the previous record set in August 2023 during the holy month of Sawan when 95.62 lakh devotees thronged the revered site. Contrastingly, the footfall in March of the previous year stood at 37.1 lakh devotees, making this year's turnout more than double.
Mishra further elaborated that the inauguration of the Vishwanath Corridor in December 2021 marked a pivotal moment. Since then, the headcount of pilgrims has been meticulously recorded using advanced camera systems, ensuring precise and scientific monitoring of devotee numbers.
