In a distressing turn of events near the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay-Gaya Railway Station, miscreants targeted the Vande Bharat Express with stones, resulting in a cracked window of one of the coaches. This incident unfolded as the train was en route from Varanasi to Ranchi, causing concern among passengers and railway authorities alike.

The damaged window, identified as belonging to coach number C7, sustained a crack as a result of the sudden impact of a stone projectile. Passengers onboard immediately alerted railway officials, prompting swift action to assess the extent of the damage and ensure passenger safety.

Railway personnel, including members of the escort team and other staff, promptly inspected the affected window to gauge the severity of the damage. Preliminary investigations led by RPF Inspector Sanjeev Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sushil Kumar indicate that the incident occurred shortly after the train departed from Sasaram Railway Station at 17:52.

Passenger accounts further shed light on the gravity of the situation. Amarinder Kumar, seated in seat number 25, recounted hearing a loud noise emanating from the southern side of the train near Karwandia Station, approximately three to four kilometers from Sasaram. Upon inspection, he discovered the cracked window, prompting immediate notification of railway authorities.
