This esteemed recognition was conferred by Governor Anandi Ben and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, underscoring Sunil's significant contributions.

Sunil Vishwakarma, born in Hunsapura Mohalla, Kopaganj, and son of the late Sita Ram Vishwakarma, has carved a niche in the field of art. His artistic creation, a sculpture depicting the child form of Lord Rama, adorns the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The residents of the district proudly celebrated Sunil's achievements, extending their congratulations to his family.

Dr. Sunil Vishwakarma's educational journey began in Kopaganj, where he excelled in high school and intermediate exams at Bapu Inter College. Subsequently, he pursued his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at BHU Varanasi, earning gold medals in both BFA and MFA. Further enhancing his skills, he pursued advanced studies in painting from Agra.

Having qualified the UGC NET in 2006, Dr. Sunil joined Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth as an Assistant Professor in the Lalit Kala Vibhag department. Currently, he serves as the head of the department, bringing his artistic expertise to the forefront. This recognition by Padma Shri Baba Yogendra Award 2024 highlights Dr. Sunil Vishwakarma's dedication to the world of art and academia.
