In an exclusive religious ceremony on January 22nd, the chief priest of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust, Champat Rai, revealed that Nepali priest Acharya Durga Prasad Gautam will lead the event. Gautam, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thousands of Hindu devotees, will recite Vedic mantras in front of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi.
Gautam, a 25-year-old priest associated with Ram Mandir since April 2020, expressed his joy in serving Lord Ram since the groundbreaking ceremony. He stated, "Since April 2020, after the Bhumi Pujan, I have been actively involved in all religious activities. I am happy to serve Lord Ram."
Notably, the chief priest of Ram-Janaki Mandir in Janakpur, Mahant Ram Tapeshwar Das, has also been invited to the program. Mahant Ram Tapeshwar Das and his successor, Mahant Ram Roshan Das, will hold a special place in the ceremony as they trace their origins to Sita's birthplace.
