Explore the New Sugreev Path: A Convenient Route to Ram Mandir

On January 22nd, the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir marked a significant milestone in Ayodhya, India. Nearly a month has passed since the consecration, yet the throngs of devotees flocking to catch a glimpse of Lord Ram at the temple show no signs of dwindling. Despite the fervor, navigating through the crowds has proven to be a challenge for many pilgrims. To alleviate this issue, the Yogi government has undertaken the initiative to construct a new pathway leading directly to the revered Ram Mandir.

Introducing Sugreev Path

Named after the legendary ally of Lord Ram, Sugreev Path is set to revolutionize the pilgrimage experience for devotees. Stretching over 290 meters, this corridor will serve as a seamless passage connecting Hanumangarhi and the Ram Mandir precinct. Designed as a rectangular circuit, Sugreev Path aims to streamline the pilgrim's journey, making access to the Ram Mandir more convenient than ever before.

Addressing the Pilgrim Rush

Estimates from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust reveal a staggering influx of devotees, with nearly two to two and a half million pilgrims visiting Ram Lalla daily since the consecration. However, this surge in foot traffic has led to congestion and logistical challenges, hindering devotees in their quest for divine darshan. In response, the government of Yogi Adityanath has initiated the construction of Sugreev Path in Ayodhya, with the aim of easing the pilgrimage experience for devotees.

A Path of Convenience

With an estimated cost of 11.81 crore INR, Sugreev Path promises to be a game-changer in pilgrimage infrastructure. Approximately 5.1 crore INR will be allocated for land acquisition, with the corridor spanning a width of around 17 meters. Additionally, a five-meter-wide pedestrian pathway will flank both sides of the corridor, facilitating ease of movement for pilgrims. The responsibility for constructing Sugreev Path has been entrusted to the Public Works Department, with senior engineer S.B. Singh overseeing the project.

As the new Sugreev Path takes shape, the vision of a hassle-free pilgrimage to the Ram Mandir inches closer to realization. With enhanced accessibility and streamlined logistics, devotees can look forward to a spiritually enriching journey, unencumbered by the challenges of overcrowding. As Ayodhya continues to evolve into a beacon of faith and unity, initiatives like Sugreev Path serve as a testament to the enduring devotion and reverence for Lord Ram.
