Discover the Empowerment of Women in the Spiritual Capital of India, Varanasi

In the heart of India's spiritual and cultural hub, Varanasi, women are set to illuminate the sacred Ganga Aarti. Two months hence, at Durga Ghat, the divine presence will be graced by the feminine touch. This initiative is spearheaded by the Kashi Vishwa Mangalya Sabha under the Kashi Project. The project blueprint prioritizes girls residing in orphanages.

The Kashi Vishwa Mangalya Sabha has taken strides towards the empowerment of women. Women will not only be trained as tourist guides but also as female priests. Within two months, the process of training and integrating women into the workforce will commence. At Durga Ghat, women will receive training in Indian martial arts, boat navigation, Ganga Aarti rituals, and tourist guiding, among others, under the guidance of Nana Fadanvis Bada. Additionally, women residing here will also manage the food sector.

Representatives of the Sabha affirm that daily meals will be served to two to two and a half thousand people. Following the Aarti training, women's groups will regularly conduct the Ganga Aarti at Durga Ghat. The organization has planned to construct a 200-room hostel at the Ganga Ghat, exclusively for women. This accommodation will cater to women and devotees arriving from across the country to Varanasi.
